Independence Meals on Wheels
Mission: To provide nutritious hot meals 5-days a week to those who live within the City of Independence and Sugar Creek area; who are elderly, homebound and physically handicapped or with limited ability to prepare meals. Subsidy is available for those whose income falls below the 150% poverty level. Meals can be purchased at a minimal cost. Extra meals can be purchased for evening and weekend meals.

This comes from multi-generational families living in the same household, a single mom with no other support to provide the necessities for her children or the elderly who’s retirement income doesn’t allow for all of their expenses. Regardless of the circumstances we believe everyone deserves God’s Grace.
