Independence Meals on Wheels
Mission: To provide nutritious hot meals 5-days a week to those who live within the City of Independence and Sugar Creek area; who are elderly, homebound and physically handicapped or with limited ability to prepare meals. Subsidy is available for those whose income falls below the 150% poverty level. Meals can be purchased at a minimal cost. Extra meals can be purchased for evening and weekend meals.

Lunch Partners is a free service that feeds and clothes the needy and homeless in Independence, MO. Lunch Partners is a community service that has been in operations since 1991. Lunch Partners serves homeless men, women, and children of our community that include the working poor, single parent families, senior citizens, and disabled individuals of all ages.

Hours: Thursday 6pm - 7:30pm. Project SupperTime serves the working poor. The majority of our clientele have jobs but can’t make ends meet. This comes from multi-generational families living in the same household, a single mom with no other support to provide the necessities for her children or the elderly who’s retirement income doesn’t allow for all of their expenses. Regardless of the circumstances we believe everyone deserves God’s Grace.

We serve anyone that can come to us.

The Bread Line Hours: Monday - Friday 1pm - 3pm. Nothing is required for you to be able to go through it and you can use it everyday if needed. The Food Pantry Hours Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am - 11am and 1pm - 3pm. Requirements: Must have Photo ID and proof of residence like a utility bill every time. Social Security cards and proof of income are also preferred so that way we can have it on file, in case you want to do other programs.
